ACME For Antarctic Duty Ten feet in diameter and weighing 700 lbs., this huge tire will be used on the giant snow cruiser (AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRIES, August 1, page 128) of the forthcoming U. S. Antarctic Expedition under the command of Admiral Richard Byrd. The tire is -the first of six to be built by the Goodyear company.
